En esta ocasión me encuentro en esta bella comunidad ya que estuve pensando bastante sobre alguna manera de empezar a generar un dinero extra y quiero compartirles mi plan de emprendimiento.

Here in my country, inflation grows practically day by day, transportation, basic services increase, food is through the roof, and in this way everything increases, except salaries.

It is becoming really difficult to make ends meet, even though we have been putting aside leisure activities for months now, like going out to have a coffee in a bar, going to the cinema to watch a movie, and those things that today Nowadays they are considered a luxury.

For this reason, I have been thinking for some time about starting a business, especially one in which it is not necessary to invest too much money.

Aquí en mi país, la inflación crece prácticamente día a día, aumentan los transportes, los servicios básicos, los alimentos están por las nubes, y de esa manera aumenta todo, menos con los sueldos.

Se está volviendo realmente difícil llegar a fin de mes, a pesar de que hace meses que ya dejamos las actividades de ocio de lado, como salir a tomar un café en un bar, ir al cine a ver alguna película, y esas cosas que hoy en día se consideran un lujo.

Por ese motivo, hace tiempo me encuentro pensando en comenzar un emprendimiento, sobre todo en alguno en el que no sea necesario invertir demasiado dinero.

 

I have a project that has been on my mind for about a month, and in fact, I plan to carry it out, but it is a project that will take me a long time to polish, in terms of production, marketing, sales and so on, but Even though I'm sure I will do it, at this moment I need something else, something from which I can get the benefit in a much shorter time.

And thinking about something that is productive in the short term is complicated, since as I tell you, the economy in my country is not in a position to waste money on things like crafts, decoration, accessories and so on. Although there are people who spend their money on these things, we are talking about a fairly small audience. So I came to the conclusion that the most profitable thing is to sell food.

Tengo un emprendimiento que me da vueltas en la cabeza desde hace un mes aproximadamente, que de hecho, tengo pensado llevarlo al cabo, pero es un proyecto que me llevará bastante tiempo pulir, en cuanto a producción, marketing, ventas y demás, pero a pesar de que estoy seguro que lo haré, en este momento necesito otra cosa, algo a lo que le pueda sacar la ganancia a un place bastante mas corto.

Y pensar en algo que sea productivo a corto plazo, es complicado, ya que como les cuento, la economía en mi país no está como para despilfarrar dinero en cosas como artesanías, decoración, accesorios y demás. Si bien, hay gente que gasta su dinero en esas cosas, estamos hablando de un publico bastante reducido. Por lo que llegué a la conclusión de que lo mas rentable es vender comida.

My main idea is to rent a booth at a fair, where every weekend it is filled with people who, although they do not have much money to spend on everything that is offered there, many people take it as a walk, and like in everything walk, at some point hunger appears. And there would be my stall, offering puddings, flavored bread, cookies among other delicious things, whether for breakfast, a breakfast or at snack time.

The problem that arises now is the capital that I must invest not only for the ingredients that go into the products that I will sell (which will all be homemade), but also for the rental of the stall and for transportation.

Entonces, ya tengo el producto, lo que me falta ahora es un plan de ventas para que mi emprendimiento sea rentable.

Mi idea principal, es alquilar un puesto en un feria, donde cada fin de semana se llena de personas que aunque no vayan con demasiado dinero para gastar en todo lo que allí se ofrece, muchas personas lo toman como un paseo, y como en todo paseo, en algún momento aparece el hambre. Y ahí estaría mi puesto, ofreciendo budines, pancitos saborizados, cookies entre otras cositas ricas, ya sea para el desayuno, un breakfast o a la hora de la merienda.

El problema que surge ahora es, el capital que debo invertir no solo para los ingredientes que llevan los productos que venderé (que será todo casero), sino también para el alquiler del puesto y para el transporte.

 

The detail here is that I only had $10,000 to buy some ingredients and materials (such as molds, bags, among other things), it was clear that it was not going to be enough to supply myself with what I needed for all the products I had in mind to sell. . So I chose to make the puddings. Well, what better option to accompany with a tea or coffee on these cold days?

Then I began to review my pudding recipe in my mind, and make an approximate total of the ingredients and materials that I was going to use, but above all, that it would be enough for me with the budget I had.

El detalle aquí es que solo contaba con $10000 para comprar algunos ingredientes y materiales (como los moldes, las bolsitas, entre otras cosas), era claro que no me iba a alcanzar para abastecerme de lo necesario para todos los productos que tenia en mente vender. Por lo que opté por hacer los budines. Pues ¿Qué mejor opción para acompañar con un té o un café en estos días de tanto frio?

Entonces comencé a repasar mi receta de budines en mi mente, y a hacer un total aproximado de los ingredientes y materiales que iba a utilizar, pero sobre todo, que me alcanzara con el presupuesto con el que contaba.

I wanted to have a minimum variety of flavors to offer options to the first customers, so I decided on those that I considered most salable. Lemon, orange and marbled (vanilla and chocolate).

Once I had everything calculated, I went to buy what I needed, hoping that it would be within my budget (since the prices of things are always a mystery, since with each visit to the markets, the prices increase a little more and a little further).

You could say that I did magic with the money, I walked through different markets and grocery stores to get affordable prices and thus I managed to buy everything I needed to start the first production of puddings.

Me alcanzó para hacer exactamente 6 budines.

Quería tener una mínima variedad de sabores como para ofrecer opciones a los primeros clientes, asique me decidí por los que considero mas vendibles. De limón, de naranja y marmolado (vainilla y chocolate).

Una vez que ya tenia todo calculado fui a comprar lo que necesitaba deseando que me alcanzara con mi presupuesto (pues los precios de las cosas siempre son un misterio, ya que con cada visita a los mercados, los precios aumentan un poco mas y un poco mas).

Se podría decir que hice magia con el dinero, caminé por diferentes mercados y verdulerías para conseguir precios accesible y así conseguí comprar todo lo que necesitaba para comenzar con la primer producción de budines.

 

Well, I already have my 6 puddings, so what is my plan?

Of those 6 puddings, I have to obtain enough capital to be able to arrive at the fair with a good stock of merchandise.

Now I have 2 new problems regarding the sales of those 6 puddings.

It is not feasible for me to go around the neighborhood knocking door to door to offer them, since the neighborhood is full of this type of sellers who have had their loyal clientele for many years.
On the other hand, I thought about offering them in stores so that they could resell them, but the problem here is that, as the ingredients are very expensive, I don't get much profit out of each pudding, so leaving them to an even lower price (so that stores or kiosks can sell them at a reasonable price), does not seem very effective to me.

Bien, ya tengo mis 6 budines, entonces, ¿Cuál es mi plan?.

De esos 6 budines, tengo que lograr el capital suficiente para lograr llegar a la feria con un buen stock de mercadería.

Ahora me surgieron 2 nuevos problemas con respecto a las ventas de esos 6 budines.

No se me hace factible salir a recorrer el barrio golpeando puerta por puerta para ofrecerlos, ya que el barrio está llenos de este tipo de vendedores que desde hace muchísimos años ya tienen su clientela fiel.
Por otro lado, pensé en ofrecerlos en los almacenes como para que ellos los revendan, pero el problema aquí es que, de por si, al ser muy caros los ingredientes, no les saco mucha ganancia a cada budín, por lo que, dejarlos a un precio aun menor (para que los almacenes o kioscos los puedan vender a un precio razonable), no se me hace muy efectivo.

 

My roommate's sister is a teacher at different schools, primary and secondary, and she comes 3 days a week since her mother takes care of her little son while she is teaching, and then returns to pick him up. He usually comes in the morning and has a few minutes of rest during which he takes the opportunity to have breakfast with his mother (who lives in the house below). Sometimes I come down too and we take advantage of that time to talk.

In one of those conversations, while he was having breakfast, he mentioned that in schools, he is always hungry no matter how much he has had breakfast, and even more so with the cold weather, he is always looking for something sweet to snack on, but that in the buffets (or kiosks ) inside the schools, the prices are excessively expensive and generally, no teacher feels like leaving the establishment to buy something.

And voila, the light bulb instantly went on.

Those 6 puddings will be directed to the schools. She offered to take them to offer them and she did so. Sold all 6 in an instant!

La hermana de mi roomie es maestra en diferentes colegios, primarios y secundarios, y ella viene 3 días a la semana ya que su mamá cuida de su hijo pequeño mientras ella está dando clases, y luego vuelve para recogerlo. Generalmente viene a la mañana y tiene unos minutos de descanso en los que aprovecha para desayunar junto a su madre (que vive en la casa de abajo). Algunas veces, yo también bajo y aprovechamos ese tiempo para conversar.

En una de esas conversaciones, mientras desayunaba, mencionó que los colegios, siempre está con hambre por mas que haya desayunado, y mas aun con el clima frio, siempre está en busca de algo dulce para picar, pero que en los bufets (o kioscos) que hay dentro de los colegios, los precios son excesivamente caros y por lo general, ningún maestro tiene ganas de salir del establecimiento para comprar algo.

Y listo, instantáneamente se me encendió la lamparita.

Esos 6 budines serán dirigidos para los colegios. Ella se ofreció a llevarlos para ofrecerlos y así lo hizo. Vendió los 6 en un instante!

 

And so the circle of my plan came full circle.

The idea, clearly, is not to touch a cent of the profit, on the contrary, to invest everything in more ingredients, to make more puddings, offer them in more schools, reinvest all the profits and so on.

My goal is to achieve enough budget within two weeks to be able to rent the booth at the fair. And to do this I am going to keep producing, selling and investing as much as possible in this week and a half that I have left.

Y así se cerró el circulo de mi plan.

La idea, claramente, es no tocar ni un centavo de la ganancia, por el contrario, invertir todo en mas ingredientes, para hacer mas budines, ofrecerlos en mas colegios, volver a invertir todas las ganancias y así sucesivamente.

Mi meta es lograr el presupuesto suficiente de acá a dos semanas poder ir a alquilar el puesto de la feria. Y para ello me voy mantener produciendo, vendiendo e invirtiendo todo lo posible en esta semana y media que me queda.

 

By that time, I plan to have enough capital to stock up on a wide variety of merchandise. Not just puddings, which by the way, I would like to make (in addition to the 3 flavors I already made), a variety of not so conventional flavors, such as apple and cinnamon, pear and ginger, carrot and chocolate, among others. But also, I want to be able to produce different types of cookies and flavored and filled rolls.

And in this way, I can organize my week, having "free" days on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, doing a full day of production on Thursdays, and selling at the fair every weekend, from Friday to Sunday.

So well, I already started with all this, hoping for the best and acting to achieve it. I'll tell you soon how it went.
 

Para ese momento, planeo tener el capital suficiente como para abastecerme de una amplia variedad de mercadería. No solo budines, que por cierto, me gustaría hacer (además de los 3 sabores que ya hice), una variedad de sabores no tan convencionales, como por ejemplo, de manzana y canela, pera y jengibre, zanahoria y chocolate, entre otros. Pero también, quiero poder producir diferentes tipos de cookies y pancitos saborizados y rellenos.

Y de esta manera, poder organizar mi semana, teniendo "libre" los días lunes, martes y miércoles, hacer full día de producción los jueves, y vender en la feria todos los fines de semana, de viernes a domingos.

Asique bueno, ya comencé con todo ésto, esperando lo mejor y actuando para conseguirlo. Ya pronto les contaré qué tal me fue.
