Embrace the beauty of balance : The key to a joyful life!

It was a fantastic evening spent with the village kids. We played some cricket and then we went for some snack in village shop. It was some wonderful moment, that took me to my childhood days. Those were the time when we efficiently able to manage multiple thing with ease. And above all we always remain active and fresh. From waking up in the morning, to going to school, to completing homework, to playing to friends get together to private coaching and finally to bed. It was some wonderful moments of life which never going to comes back again. I think eavh one of us have similar sort lifestyle in the childhood, where we used to remain occupied and also remain fit and active.

However, as we grown up into adulthood, we keep missing on those fun moments from the life. We miss out on many things and at the end we find ourself juggling to make a balance between personal life and work life. We have differrnt prioritize in life, we have a dream to accomplish and we have a family to look after. In the race to earn livlihood and handle different responsibility we leave behind all the childhood charm. From friends to sleep, to family to our well being. Everything seems to be quite difficult to maintain.

I remember an instance, when my Dad was hospitalised and I was finding it hard to be with him. I was stuck in my work life too far away from my parents. Such things may occur to many of us. People usually leave behind their home and parents in search of job. And at time of emergency, it get too tough to be on time. Also, in all these ramp up, we forget to take care of ourself. We missed out on physical activity, we miss out of our meals and also families. I had been to those gruelling days when my life was only left between office-home-office. And in between spent too much time on traffic. It was such a painful time, where I missed out on with friends and also for myself.

People may realize it on later part of life, that it is important to maintain a balanced life. Everything may fall in place, but it.is important to follow a dislike life, where a person maybtake out time for various things in life. This is where a balanced lifestyle comes into picture.

A balanced lifestyle is a way of living that prioritizes various aspects of well being and to create harmony and fulfillment. Balance in wellbeing is a key component of mental health and wellbeing. It means being able to fully engage in whst we want or need to do without worrying that we should be doing something else. Like in my case, I wanted to be with my Dad, but I was forced to work for the company. While it gave me good amount of stress and I was choking to breath. Balanced well being also means understanding our needs and boundaries so we can pursue our different roles and identities. Our life should not be stuck only to certain things, as we have multiple role to accomplish.

Wellness is the journey, not the destination

Balanced well being include taking care of our Physical health and our Mental well being. Physical activity, proper nutrition, sufficient rest may constitutes for Physical well being, relationships, stress management, happiness etc may cover the mental well being of an individual. It may appears to be pretry difficult to accomplish everything but we can manage everything with proper planning and our time management. Like in tye case of our childhood days, where we have a planned schedule for everything. Schooling to playing to spare time. We followed a routine to accomplish our daily routine. Likewise in our hectic responsible days, we need to take out time for everything. This sounds strange but can easily be manageable :
 

  • Setting achievable goals : Setting goals can help balance all the things that happen in your life. Never set something which are outside of our reach.

  • Using time management : Prioritizing activities can help us to avoid confusion and have a positive approach to achieving goals.

  • Prioritizing mindfulness : Being aware in the present moment can help balance our life, lower stress levels, and improve our mood.

  • Creating boundaries : Boundaries can protect our work life balance, personal space, time, and mental health. We should not mix work hours with personal and vice versa.

  • Taking pleasure in work: Take a few minutes to relax our body at least few times in a day. We can try breathing deeply, walking outside, stretching, or meditating.

  • Allowing time for breaks: Step away from work for a few minutes to stretch, look out the window, or listen to music.

  • Scheduling exercise: Once I started my physical workout, I find a complete change of my approach. Regular exercise can reduce stress, improve focus, and increase overall well-being.

  • Maintaining sleep: Sleep helps keep our body and mind in balance and heals our neurological system. Sleep is essential for the well being.
     
    As we grow older, our prioritize in life changes. But it does not mean that we cut loose on our well being. We must stay ahead in the race to be better with time and meet challenges as they comes by. Afterall, life is too short to achive everything.
