I decided to plant a yuzu tree 🍊🍋

I remember a large yuzu tree at my grandparents' house in Tokushima. When Grandpa was healthy, he told me that this yuzu tree was over 100 years old. He told me that his grandgrandgrand parents planted it at the edge of his ancestor's grave and it meant to be (dai dai, which means generations to generations in Japanese) to "prosper from generation to generation". I planted a yuzu tree sapling because I also like yuzu and would like to make a liqueur using it 🎵 Yuzu takes 15 years after germination, so I am sure it will be a long time before this tree bears fruit. I'm looking forward to it!

柚子の大木が徳島の祖父母の家にあるのを思い出します。お爺ちゃんが元気な時、この柚子は100年以上になると言っていました。先祖墓の端に植えていて、「代々栄える」ために、橙（だいだい）を植えたと言っていました。私も柚子が好きで、柚子を使ったリキュールとかが作れたらいいので柚木の苗木を植えてみました🎵 柚子は発芽後、15年はかかるようでこの苗木から実がつくのもきっとずっと先だと思います。今から楽しみ～。
