How are you, dear friends of the hive?! After some time of inactivity we are happy to share content with all of you again, and this time it is the turn of "Three Tune Tuesday", an initiative from our friend @ablaze that is about sharing three tunes every Tuesday that have something connection with each other, as a band we find it a perfect space to share and talk about our influences, musical tastes and bands or songs that have generated an impact on us, regardless of whether or not they have a direct influence on our music. One of the styles that, for better or worse, had a strong impact on the rock music scene in the late 90's and during the 2000s was Nu-metal, although it was harshly criticized by the most conservative fans of the metal genre, Nu-metal quickly gained a large number of followers among the youngest rockers and without a doubt these groups left an indelible mark on many contemporary people of our generation, since many of these songs were fashionable on the radio when we were just teenagers, for this and many other reasons, our TTT today is a small tribute to this musical genre.

Luego de un tiempo de inactividad estamos contentos de volver a compartir contenido con todos ustedes, y en esta ocasión le toca el turno al "Three Tune Tuesday" una iniciativa del amigo @ablaze que se trata de compartir todos los martes tres tonadas que tengan alguna vinculación entre sí, como banda nos parece un espacio perfecto para compartir y hablar sobre nuestras influencias, gustos musicales y bandas o canciones que han generado un impacto en nosotros, mas allá de que tengan influencia directa o no sobre nuestra música. Uno de los estilos que para bien o para mal marcó un fuerte impacto en la escena musical del rock a finales de los 90´s y durante la déada del 2000 fué el Nu-metal, aunque fué duramente criticado por los aficionados al género metal más conservadores, el Nu-metal consiguió rápidamente gran cantidad de seguidores entre los rockeros más jóvenes y sin duda estas agrupaciones dejaron una huella indeleble en muchas personas contemporáneas de nuestra generación, ya que muchas de éstas canciones estaban de moda en la radio cuando nosotros apenas éramos adolescentes, por esta y muchas otras razones, nuestro TTT de hoy es un pequeño homenaje a este género musical.

1 - My Generation - Limp Bizkit

Who doesn't remember Fred Durst with his red baseball cap and his irreverent style and way of singing? "My Generation" was a resounding success at the time of its release and is a song that in my opinion sums up the essence of Nu-metal quite well, from the beginning you feel the energy with the simple but powerful "beat" of the drums, to soon burst into a solid and catchy rhythm ideal for shaking heads in a good headbang. If there is something that can be called "classic" within Nu-metal, this would fall into that category.

> ¿Quién no recuerda a Fred Durst con su gorra roja de béisbol y su irreverente estilo y forma de cantar? "My Generation" fué un éxito rotundo al momento de su lanzamiento y es una canción que a mi parecer resume bastante bien la esencia del Nu-metal, desde el comienzo se siente la energía con el "beat" sencillo pero potente de la batería, para pronto estallar en un sólido y pegajoso ritmo ideal para sacudir las cabezas en un buen "headbang". Si existe algo que pueda llamarse "clásico" dentro del Nu-metal, esto entraría dentro de esa categoría.

2 - Freak On A Leash - Korn

Another good example of a great Nu-metal song, "Freak On A Leash" caused an impact at the time and remains one of the most popular and listened to songs of this genre, it is also a song where experimentation with synthesized and electronic sounds can be appreciated, a particular characteristic of Nu-metal.

> Otro buen ejemplo de una gran canción de Nu-metal, "Freak On A Leash" causo impacto en su momento y sigue siendo una de las canciones más populares y escuchadas de este género, también es un tema dónde puede apreciarse la experimentación con sonidos sintetizados y electrónicos, una característica particulart del Nu-metal.

3 - In The End - Linkin Park

I think that this song does not need much introduction, since most likely we have all heard it at some point, however I think it is worth highlighting the wide influence that Linkin Park had on the music scene, mainly due to the great success this single achieved, without a doubt one of the most memorable songs that this era of rock left us.

>Creo que esta canción no necesita mucha presentación, ya que lo más probable es que todos la hemos escuchado alguna vez, sin embargo creo que vale la pena resaltar la amplia influencia que tuvo Linkin Park en la escena musical, principalmente debido al gran éxito que alcanzó este sencillo, sin duda una de las canciones más memorables que nos dejó esta era del rock.
